Ocean University Medical Center Outpatient Laboratory

The Outpatient Laboratory at Ocean University Medical Center provides the Brick community and surrounding areas with convenient access to a comprehensive range of diagnostic testing services. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, reliable laboratory services with a focus on your convenience and well-being.

We utilize advanced technology to ensure your tests are processed accurately and efficiently, providing your physicians with the critical information they need for your care.

As an integral part of the Hackensack Meridian Health network, we ensure your results are seamlessly integrated into your medical record for a fully coordinated experience. Whether you need routine blood work or specialized testing, our team is here to provide expert service.

Scheduling an online appointment for standard lab work is self-service only. 

Some laboratory work is not offered at Ocean University Medical Center's Outpatient Lab. The following laboratory tests are only performed at HOPE Tower and require an appointment scheduled with their laboratory team, call 732-776-4138 to book your appointment.

• Semen Analysis
• Sweat Test
• Platelet Aggregation

Glucose tolerance and breath tests are only available as a walk-in visit. Please be aware that you should arrive by 12 p.m. Monday - Friday for these tests as they can take multiple hours to complete.

Newborn metabolic screenings are only available as a walk-in visit. Please check in at the registration desk for outpatient services.

Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) testing is done in the outpatient lab only Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Central scheduling should be contacted to make an appointment. 

If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms or are completing a COVID, Flu or RSV test, please make sure to wear a mask when coming in. COVID, Flu and RSV testing is available as walk-in appointments only.

Walk-ins are accepted between 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Walk-ins will be scheduled into the next available appointment time.

Please arrive 15 - 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to complete your registration.  If you arrive 15 minutes or more past your scheduled appointment time, your appointment will be forfeited and you will be considered a walk-in.
