Dr. Alexa Durante is a pediatric endocrinologist. She treats various conditions related to puberty, thyroid issues, and diabetes in infants, children, teens, and adults. Despite growing up in a household surrounded by pediatric medicine, Dr. Durante's passion for endocrinology was inspired by a college friend, an athlete with type 1 diabetes, who demonstrated resilience despite her chronic illness. This experience solidified Dr. Durante's commitment to her calling.

In addition to her extensive training, Dr. Durante has a clinical focus on type 1 and type 2 diabetes, growth disorders, precocious or delayed puberty, and thyroid dysfunction. She is dedicated to encouraging all patients with diabetes to embrace diabetes technology. She is passionate about helping those in underserved areas overcome obstacles that prevent them from accessing these vital devices.

Philosophy of Care

My care philosophy is that pediatric care involves not only the child but also their family. As a physician, my goal is to create a safe and trusting environment for both the child and their caregivers. This way, they feel comfortable asking questions and following recommendations, ultimately leading to the best possible health outcomes.
