Alyssa Reiffel Golas, MD

Alyssa Golas, M.D., FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon and the Chief of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at JFK University Medical Center. Dr. Golas performs all types of plastic and reconstructive surgery and has a special interest in breast cancer reconstruction and gender affirming care.

Throughout her career, Dr. Golas has educated medical students and residents, conducted research and contributed numerous peer-reviewed articles to medical literature. She is the Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at JFKUMC.

Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Golas served as Section Chief of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn and participated in the first successful face and bilateral hand transplant. Dr. Golas is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
