Dr. Merchant works closely with his pediatric colleagues at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital, providing pediatric orthopedic care in the ultimate children's environment. Dr. Merchant cares for children from birth to adolescence, with a special area of focus on scoliosis, hip dysplasia, neuromuscular disorders, angular deformities, sports related injuries and pediatric trauma.

Dedicated to giving back and making a positive difference in the wider world, Dr. Merchant has volunteered to benefit underserved communities, traveling as a member of an overseas medical camp team in Puttaparthi, India; Georgetown, Guyana; Moscow, Russia; and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Philosophy of Care

Kids are quite literally our future generation, and I’ve dedicated my career to care for them to ensure they can be the best versions of themselves. They are resilient and much tougher than we give them credit for.

Dr. Merchant and his entire staff was amazing. From beginning to end getting the appointment, showing up to the appointment, the wait time was excellent, and he made my son very comfortable, and they're all lovely. Thank you.

Dr. Merchant was excellent. He was a thoughtful and caring physician who took the time to evaluate my child, diagnose whatever was going on, and appropriately treat her. He was kind, patient, and understanding. I would recommend him to anyone.
