The only reason for the final 8 was that I have been Dr. Patel's patient for a long time and don't really know the center yet.

I met Dr Patel when admitted through the emergency room at Mountainside Hospital. He's been fantastic ever since our first meeting. My wife even now goes to him.

Dr Patel is kind and knowledgeable. He was prepared for my visit and talked about past concerns as well as my current wellness. He listened to everything I had to say and answered all of my questions with empathy and guidance. I have full confidence having DR. Patel as my doctor.

The service from all the professionals in my case was excellent.

FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW MY APPOINTMENT DATE (SCHEDULED A YEAR AGO) WAS MOVED TO A LATER DATE...ALMOST A MONTH LATER.. DONE WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF THE SCHED DATE. THEN DAYS PRIOR TO THIS YEAR APPT TIME WAS MOVED FROM AFTERNOON TO AM THEN 2 DAYS PRIOR IT WAS CHANGED BACK TO THE AFTERNOON. , SEEMS NO CONSIDERATION FOR MY TIME

This was our first time at the Clifton office, and we were very, very happy. Everybody was wonderful, loved the building, and it would be a pleasure to go back again. Thank you.

Getting appointment with Dr. Patel is difficult. Also, the office and doctor refusal to use the HMHN MyChart portal to communicate with the patient is quite problematic. Portal communication is VERY important to us since I've hearing issues. Emails sent to their office address are not acknowledged or responded to.

Dr Patel is the best! He really takes good care of me and recommended sound medical advice to always improve my health.

Just that it was a good experience.

I like that there was immediate response once they found out something was wrong. What I don't like is the smart comment to me about my hospital stay, especially if you weren't there. You could have asked me what happened and you made an assumption about what you heard. So that was my only problem. But besides that, I've had a very amicable relationship with the doctor and staff, so I still recommend him, even though I think there are times that, you know, he'll err. You gotta give people a little bit of latitude, so. I like Dr. Patel, so I don't plan on going anywhere, but I would appreciate next time that not.

Yeah, I found the doctor to be very easy to talk to. I thought it's just his kind of personality and just his kind of what, his feel for being concerned and sincere and clear. And he took time and made sure I understood what he said. He fielded a bunch of questions since this was my first visit with him. Overall, I was very pleased and would highly recommend him as a cardiologist, not as a car mechanic. And yeah, so I'd highly recommend him as a cardiologist doctor, very highly.

Yeah, I think Dr. Patel is probably one of the best cardiac doctor in our whole area. A few years ago when I asked my primary care doctor, maybe I could go and crack cardiologists in New York and have them give their opinions on my treatment, he said, Matt, I think that'd be good, but you're probably going to find that they're here. They're in New Jersey. And I think Dr. Patel is one of them.

Dr. Patel and his staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Patel allowed me explain all of my concerns and history without rushing me. He listened patiently and then told me what his thoughts were. He explained the plan moving forward in a way that I understood. He has an amazing bed side manner. I felt that he was very attentive and compassionate. I really like that he is proactive and thorough. His staff was kind and thorough also. They really made the appointment (that I was a bit anxious about) and made it as easy as possible. I'm very happy with my choice to switch to Dr. Patel.

I wish the doctor and his staff would utilize the MyChart patient portal to communicate with patients more effectively. Having to call the office, wait 10 minutes for someone to answer, and then explain the medical issue to the staff, who will relay it to the doctor, is quite inefficient when the portal offers a much easier mode of communication. I'm not sure what the purpose of having a patient portal is when you can't communicate using it!
