Ashley Ford Haggerty, MD

Ashley Ford Haggerty, M.D., is a board certified, fellowship trained Gynecologic Oncologist who has recently joined Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. As a New Jersey native, she is excited to be returning home to provide high-quality healthcare to her local community. She is an expert in robotic surgery, and has successfully performed over 500 surgeries during her time at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to robotic surgery, Dr. Haggerty also performs advanced laparoscopic and open surgery.

Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Haggerty served as the Interim Director of Gynecologic Services as well as the chair of Gynecological Quality and Safety at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she completed both her residency and fellowship training. Dr. Haggerty's passion for the field is apparent through her contribution of over 50 publications to medical literature, of which include the New England Journal of Medicine. Her research focuses on new treatments for endometrial and ovarian cancer as well as cancer care delivery with a strong clinical interest in hereditary cancers. She will be working alongside Mark Borowsky, M.D., Section Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Karim El Sahwi, M.D., who has several years of experience at our Gynecologic Oncology program.
