Caron R Rockman, MD

Caron Rockman, M.D., FACS, has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group team as the Northern Regional Chair for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Rockman is coming to HMH with over 27 years of experience. Prior to joining HMH, she worked at New York University Langone Health and the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, serving as the Florence and Joseph Ritorto Professor of Surgery, Program Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Residency Programs in the Division of Vascular Surgery, and Acting Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Rockman has a passion for mentoring, leading, and shaping future physicians, and for excellence in the care of patients with vascular disease.

Dr. Rockman is nationally and internationally known for her extensive research in vascular surgery; she is an author of over 225 peer reviewed research publications and more than 20 book chapters. She is widely recognized for her publications in carotid artery disease, and for analyzing and improving outcomes in vascular surgery patients, particularly in female patients with vascular disease. She is also a member of multiple professional societies including: the Society for Vascular Surgery, the American Surgical Association, and the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, where she served recently as President. She is also currently a member of the Strategic Board of Directors for the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Rockman’s commitment to patient care, extensive knowledge and research, education, and leadership abilities make her an invaluable asset to the medical community.
