FAQ:
“What is the doctor's approach to preventative medicine?”
Dr. Patterson is focused on not just treating patients when they’re sick, but helping patients stay aware of their health throughout the rest of their life. This includes but is not limited to creating evidence-based treatment plans, post-hospital follow-ups, preventative screenings, and medication management.
“Should I see my primary care doctor for my symptoms or go to the Urgent Care??”
Your primary care doctor is the best first step for most non-emergency symptoms, including cough, congestion, sore throat, fever, ear pain, mild injuries, stomach issues and ongoing symptoms. Urgent Care is recommended for conditions that need same-day treatment but are not life-threatening, such as worsening infections, minor sprains, rashes, or injuries that need X-rays. If you are unsure, you can call our office or visit an urgent care today.
“How can I better control chronic conditions?"
During an appointment with Dr. Patterson, he makes sure to make a realistic and individualized plan for you, making sure that he understands your daily habits: diet, activity, weight management, sleep, alcohol consumption, etc. He believes that small consistent changes are often more effective than drastic short-term ones.
