Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. What are the benefits of robotic surgery? It's a type of "keyhole" surgery where I use a console to control robotic arms. This lets me be very precise through tiny cuts, which means less pain and a faster recovery for you.
2. I have prostate cancer. Does that always mean surgery? Not always. For slow-growing cancers, we might just watch it closely. If treatment is needed, robotic surgery to remove the prostate is a very effective option with a quick recovery.
3. What is an enlarged prostate (BPH)? It's a very common condition in men as they get older that can make it hard to urinate. It is not cancer, and there are many effective treatments available to improve your symptoms.
4. What are kidney stones and how are they treated? Kidney stones are hard deposits that form in your kidneys and can be very painful when they pass. Depending on the size and location, we can treat them with sound waves or use tiny cameras and lasers to break them up.
5. How can I schedule an appointment with Dr. Rizkala?
You can schedule an appointment with Dr. Rizkala by calling one of his Summit Health offices in Monmouth or Middlesex counties.

Philosophy of Care
My philosophy is to combine technical expertise with a patient-centered approach. I am committed to using the most advanced robotic and minimally invasive techniques, not just because they are state-of-the-art, but because they offer my patients real benefits: less pain, smaller incisions, and a significantly faster recovery.
I believe that the best outcomes are achieved when patients are well-informed. I take the time to explain every aspect of your condition and treatment options, so that together, we can make the best decision for your health.
