Erika A. Rooney, PSYD
Erika Rooney, Psy.D. is a Child and Adolescent Supervising Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. In addition to providing direct clinical services, she is responsible for training and supervision within the Psychology Predoctoral Internship Program and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program.
Dr. Rooney has extensive experience in outpatient, day treatment, hospital, and school-based settings across the New York Metropolitan Area. Her clinical expertise includes evidence-based assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, and anxiety and mood disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. She is especially committed to addressing the impact of trauma and chronic stress on underserved communities who may face multiple barriers in accessing quality care.
