Ferheen S Shamim, MD

Ferheen Shamim, M.D., FABPMR, CAQSM is a dual board-certified Sports and Interventional Spine Physician with a focus on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Dr. Shamim has a lifelong passion for sports that fueled her career in sports medicine. She enjoys helping professional and recreational athletes of all ages get back to doing what they love and is able to accomplish this with non-invasive or minimally invasive state of the art techniques. Additionally, Dr. Shamim’s fellowship in primary care sports medicine has contributed to her expertise in bedside musculoskeletal ultrasound evaluation and guided injections. She enjoys helping patient’s see and understand the cause of their pain in real time on an ultrasound screen. Taking the time to educate on diagnosis and treatment is a cornerstone of her clinical practice. Dr. Shamim’s commitment to patient care, extensive knowledge, and leadership abilities make her an invaluable asset to the HMH medical group team.
