Grigoriy V. Soybelman, MD

Grigoriy Soybelman, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon who has joined the highly regarded Atlantic Surgical Group, part of Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. Dr. Soybelman specializes in minimally invasive procedures using laparoscopy and the Da Vinci Surgical robotic system for everything from inguinal and umbilical hernia repair to gallbladder removal. Dr. Soybelman earned Top Gun Awards for his meticulous surgical techniques in suturing and laparoscopy.

Dr. Soybelman's research experience includes work on kidney transplant rejection in the nephrology transplant laboratory at Mount Sinai Hospital and metabolic syndrome effects on heart transplants in the heart transplant laboratory at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Committed to outreach, Dr. Soybelman participated in a medical mission trip to Guatemala City, providing surgical care for patients without access to treatment. He also spent four years at an East Harlem community clinic and taught patients about diabetes prevention and lifestyle modification.
