Heikki Uustal, MD


Dr. Uustal has focused his 30+ year clinical career in the subspecialty of Prosthetics and Orthotics, and Amputee Rehabilitation. As the Medical Director of the Prosthetic and Orthotic Team, Dr. Uustal provides comprehensive evaluations and lifetime management to patients with limb loss or neurologic dysfunction. He also coordinates the fabrication and fit of prosthetic/orthotic devices, followed by physical or occupational therapy training to maximize functional recovery. Additional services provided include pain management, wound care and psychological adjustment to limb loss and disability.
Dr. Uustal is nationally recognized as a leading educator and clinician in the field of prosthetics/orthotics. He regularly speaks at annual PM&R review courses and specialty courses in amputee rehabilitation.
