Jessica L Feuerstein, DO

Dr. Feuerstein, D.O., partners with patients and their families to advocate for evidence-based preventative care and treatment plans for their mental, sexual, and reproductive health. With a patient-centered approach, she partners with her patients with puberty-specific diagnoses or needs, such as eating disorders, contraception including Nexplanon implants and intrauterine devices, sexually transmitted infections, and menstrual disorders (like abnormal uterine bleeding, dysmenorrhea, PCOS or Endometriosis).
As the Director of Inpatient Consultation Service for Adolescents with Eating Disorders, she creates a care environment where those diagnosed receive comprehensive medical and psychological support to begin their journey toward recovery. Additionally, within the field of reproductive health, Dr. Feuerstein has a special interest in discussing fertility preservation for adolescents and young adults with complex medical conditions who are undergoing gonadotoxic therapies.
By addressing the diverse needs of adolescents, she believes we can not only improve individual health outcomes but also contribute to the broader goal of fostering a healthier future generation.
Philosophy of Care
My philosophy of care begins with recognizing adolescents inhabit a unique space – neither children nor adults. They're navigating the turbulent waters of physical, emotional, and social development all at once. I see my role as a guide, translator, and advocate, helping them chart a course through this transformative period.
I'm particularly passionate about fostering open conversations and creating a safe space to discuss everything from anxiety and depression to contraception, STIs, healthy relationships, and gender identity. I believe providing accurate, non-judgmental information and access to appropriate resources is crucial for empowering adolescents to make informed decisions about their bodies and minds. This includes addressing issues like body image, consent, and online safety, recognizing the profound impact these factors have on their overall well-being.
