Dr. Justin Kei is triple board-certified in psychiatry, addiction medicine, and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Kei's 2024 certification from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine allows him to seamlessly integrate lifestyle-based interventions with psychiatric care, addressing root causes of mental and physical health concerns. After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at UCLA, he completed his medical education and training at the University of California, San Diego, and is now proudly serving the surrounding community in Bergen County, New Jersey. Having previously worked with Kaiser Permanente in Silicon Valley, he brings experience and professional interests in leveraging digital tools for population health, collaborative care models to increase access to quality mental health care, and treating the whole person to improve quality of life. Dr. Kei has embraced the strengths of being a generalist in an ever-specializing world, having received training in medication management, a variety of psychotherapy approaches, maternal mental health, and addiction medicine.

Philosophy of Care

All of us show up having been molded by evolution, genetics, culture, family, and environment. Medical treatment can be one effective part of care but will not be as effective if daily lifestyle, personal psychology, and how we relate to others are not additionally addressed.
