Krishna J Urs, MD

Dr. Krishna Urs is a graduate of The Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency training at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, where he also served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in Traumatic Brain Injury at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Urs is a board certified physiatrist with the subspecialty in Traumatic Brain Injury.
Dr. Urs' areas of interest include Neurologic Rehabilitation with a practice focused on stroke recovery and traumatic brain injury recovery. Dr. Urs is the Director of the JFK Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Consult Service. In addition, he works with the Department of Client Services in screening candidates for admission to JFK Johnson's Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Program. He is a member of the faculty of the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, where he is responsible for teaching residents and medical students. He has lectured extensively on various rehabilitation topics at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Dr. Urs conducts a tracheotomy workshop for residents and fellows annually.
