Lana Zhovtis Ryerson, MD

Lana Zhovtis Ryerson, M.D. is a board certified neurologist with a special focus in multiple sclerosis. Dr. Zhovtis Ryerson has devoted her career to developing and providing rigorous, comprehensive, and compassionate care to those afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis, as well as other immune mediated diseases affecting the central nervous system. She hopes to further the understanding and improve treatment options for multiple sclerosis patients through clinical research.
Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Zhovtis Ryerson completed her fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at NYU Langone Medical Center where she has worked for over a decade and will remain an adjunct Associate Professor of Neurology. She has extensively published on best practices for utilization of disease modifying therapies and her research has led to wide acceptance of use of extended interval dosing of natalizumab. She earned her medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She received her neurology training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in NY where she was honored with the House Staff Physician of the Year Award in 2011.
