Lisa Eiland, MD

Hackensack Specialty Care Associates
As a neonatologist, my primary responsibility is caring for critically ill infants and their families. Throughout my career, I have worked to diminish the stress that patients and families experience during a NICU stay. A cornerstone of my efforts is family engagement, building a partnership to achieve optimal health and ensure patients meet their greatest potential. As a clinical leader, I am responsible for ensuring that our division's clinical programs help achieve these goals. Beyond the NICU stay, community support is important to the health and well-being of our patients. I am proud to be a community advocate for NICU families.
I serve as my local American Academy of Pediatrics Chapter Vice President and the District Champion for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. In these roles, I advocate for legislation, policy, and clinical guidelines that promote the mission of attaining optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
Philosophy of Care
I feel privileged to possess the skills needed to care for vulnerable NICU patients and honored by the trust their families extend in allowing me to become a part of their journey. It is my goal to know what is important to each family in the care and future of their newborn and to help them attain these aspirations. Through a partnership with a team of skilled and multi-talented providers we help families achieve their goals.
