I have always loved interacting and working with children, even before I started medical school. I knew that pediatrics would be my specialty. As an attending physician in the pediatric emergency department, I diagnose and treat children with a wide range of medical issues-from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening conditions. I love having the opportunity to interact with so many different families and I find it immensely rewarding to be able to help children and their families during what is often a stressful experience.
Philosophy of Care
In the emergency department, we are usually meeting and getting to know the patient for the first time. The most important aspect and the foundation of my approach to providing excellent patient care in this setting lies truly in hearing what patients and families are saying.
