FAQ:

“Do I have to take the medications you suggest?”

While this question necessitates a full conversation and depends on your individual medical conditions, Dr. Decker's goal is to have you on the least medications necessary to maintain your health and prevent progression of chronic diseases. She will work with you to stop medications that are safe to, while educating you on the benefits of the medications that you may need to keep taking.

“How can I make sure that I don’t end up with chronic conditions?”

While there's no guaranteed way to completely prevent chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure, you can significantly lower your risk by living a healthy lifestyle—eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins while limiting processed foods, sugar, and excess salt; stay physically active with regular exercise; maintain a healthy weight; get enough quality sleep; manage stress; avoid smoking; limit alcohol; and see your doctor for regular checkups so problems can be caught early. That said, the reality is that some factors are beyond your control, such as genetics, age, and family history, so even people who do everything "right" can still develop chronic conditions—the goal isn't perfection but reducing your risk as much as possible and staying on top of your health so you can catch and manage any issues early.

“Can you check all of my vitamin levels?”

Short answer- that’s not really possible nor does medical evidence show that that is beneficial. Long answer- based on your symptoms and other clinical signs (physical exam, labs), there may be indication to check several different vitamin levels via bloodwork.
