Michael Guma, DO

Michael Guma D.O., M.S., FACR, FACP, is a board-certified rheumatologist that has been dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with arthritis, autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, and other rheumatic conditions since 1994. He believes that listening carefully is the foundation of excellent medical care and makes it a priority to give each patient the time needed to understand their concerns, answer questions, and develop an individualized treatment plan. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Guma is passionate about medical education and holds a master's degree in medical education, reflecting his longstanding commitment to teaching the next generation of physicians and staying at the forefront of advances in rheumatology. Dr. Guma attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and received a masters in Medical Education and Leadership at the University of New England. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and internship at Saint Michael’s Medical Center. To further his expertise, he completed a fellowship in rheumatology at Seton Hall University/Saint Michael’s Medical Center.

In his free time, he likes to read, play music., spend time with family, and is the Vice President of “The Guma Foundation”: a charity that has raised over $350,000 for children with brain tumors.
