Patricia Anthony, APN, is an accomplished Neuro-Oncology Nurse Practitioner and healthcare leader with over 30 years of progressive experience spanning clinical operations, patient care, and program development. She is the Neuro-Oncology Nurse Practitioner and Supervisor of Neuroscience Advanced Practice Providers and Nursing at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Patricia directs clinical operations, oversees the Gamma Knife program, and partners with physician and administrative leadership to drive strategic program development that advances patient access to care.


With a career at JFK University Medical Center spanning nearly three decades, she has spearheaded the Gamma Knife program, led quality improvement initiatives, and coordinated comprehensive neuro-oncology care integrated with cancer services, research, and clinical trials. Her clinical journey began in neurosurgical nursing at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center and Neurosurgical Associates at Park Avenue, where she developed a foundation in perioperative care, patient education, and safety compliance.


Patricia Anthony holds a Master of Science in Nursing with an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner specialization from American Sentinel College of Nursing and Health Science at Post University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kean University, and an RN diploma from Muhlenberg School of Nursing. She is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN).


A recognized thought leader in neuro-oncology nursing, she has authored publications in Seminars in Oncology Nursing and the Journal of Neuroscience Nursing, including works on Tumor Treating Fields for high-grade gliomas and reflections on 50 years of neuroscience nursing. She has presented extensively at AANN, NBTF, and other professional conferences.


Deeply committed to community service and professional advancement, she founded and continues to facilitate the Central New Jersey Brain Tumor Support and Resource Center, co-chairs the JFK Ambulatory Council, and serves on the JFK Advanced Practice Executive Council. She is a longstanding member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and previously served on the Novocure Speaker Bureau and Advisory Board. Her leadership excellence was recognized with the Magnet Award for Transformational Leadership in 2020.
