After almost 30 years as a psychiatrist, I can boil my own personal and professional mission down to three ideas, which I try to impart to every patient. First, almost all behavioral problems DO respond to treatment. Second, I strive to ensure that every patient gets what they need in order to regain their confidence and reach their full potential. Third, I care personally about each patient and am invested in their success. Once we have established these three ideas, patients tend to thrive.
