Rachel Penn, M.D. is a board-certified pediatric neurologist who specializes in the treatment of pediatric seizures and epilepsy. She takes a thoughtful approach with her patients, and offers innovative treatments to reduce seizures in children with severe forms of epilepsy.

As the Director of Pediatric Epilepsy at Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital, Dr. Penn is committed to the expansion of the pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and the growth of the comprehensive epilepsy center.

Dr. Penn is native to New Jersey and is committed to providing care to her local community throughout the Jersey Shore region.

Philosophy of Care

Having epilepsy can be a burden far beyond the seizures themselves, and I strive to support and advocate for my patients along their medical journeys. I aim to build strong partnerships with my patients’ families by truly listening to their concerns and ensuring a good understanding of treatment plans throughout our discussions. I feel privileged that families put their trust in me and I work hard to help my patients achieve their greatest potential.
