Rachel Spallone, MD

Rachel Spallone, M.D., is a board certified cardiothoracic surgeon, and brings with her an extensive background in treating conditions of the heart and lungs. Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Spallone was an assistant professor for the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center. She also held a seat on the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Leadership Committee where she worked to develop curriculum for the residency and fellowship programs.  

As an awarded physician part of the Alpha Omega Alpha and Iota Epsilon Alpha International Medical Honor Societies, Dr. Spallone is a professional committed to using her expertise to evaluate her patients’ individual needs and offer specialized care. Dr. Spallone has also presented research, earning awards from the New Jersey College of Surgeons and the Oncology Society of New Jersey. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
