Rahul Guha, MD

Rahul Guha, M.D., has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group team as a neurologist with board certifications in epilepsy, neurology, and clinical neurophysiology. Dr. Guha has previously held the Medical Director of Comprehensive Epilepsy Center position at Centra Health in Virginia. As the Medical Director, Dr. Guha opened the 2-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Lynchburg General Hospital, treated specific epilepsy comorbidities (specifically with pregnant women), led initiatives and treatment protocols for patients with severe migraines, created the first Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Assessment team, and continued to expand and improve treatment for epilepsy and related conditions associated with the Centra Health system in Virginia. Dr. Guha will be an integral part of the Epilepsy Program at Hackensack Meridian Health and as a hospital based location affiliated with Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Dr. Guha has access to the latest technologies and support services.

Dr. Guha is recognized as a member of the American Academy of Neurology, Association of Indian Neurologists in America, American Epilepsy Society, American Association for the Physician Leadership, and Epilepsy Foundation of VA on the Physician Advisory Board. He has published a plethora of publications, abstracts, and presentations on neurophysiology, neural functioning of the brain, and epilepsy. He has also served as a Clinical Preceptor for three universities as well as been an avid committee and leadership member of professional practice councils.
