Rishi Patel, MD

Rishi Patel M.D. is a dedicated and compassionate rheumatologist with years of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatologic disorders. Dr. Patel attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he graduated with honors as he earned his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics, in addition to earning his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on medical devices. After earning his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine residency at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ followed by a rheumatology fellowship at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens, NY.  His commitment to his field is demonstrated by his training under the guidance of world-renowned experts during his rheumatology fellowship, where he honed his skills in managing complex conditions.

Dr. Patel is passionate about connecting with each of his patients on an individual level and has been voted onto the “Top Docs” List for top rheumatologist in NJ. He understands that building a strong doctor-patient relationship is fundamental to providing the best possible care. His philosophy emphasizes the importance of a collaborative partnership, encouraging adherence to personalized medical treatment plans and ensuring close and consistent follow-up to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Dr. Patel is a proud member of the American College of Rheumatology, a testament to his dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in rheumatologic care. He is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish, allowing him to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population and ensure that language is not a barrier to receiving high-quality care. In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to different national parks and rooting for his favorite sports teams.
