Roshani Raman Patel, MD

Roshani Patel, M.D., FACS, is a breast surgical oncologist who is board certified in general surgery and has recently joined Hackensack Meridian Health. She will be serving as the Medical Director for Breast Surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Prior to joining the team, Dr. Patel served as a breast surgical oncologist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and an instructor in surgery at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She also served as the New Hampshire State Chair for the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

In addition to providing expert surgical care for patients with breast cancer, Dr. Patel encourages patients and survivors to support their overall health through holistic, lifestyle-focused approaches, including nutrition, mindfulness and exercise. Dr. Patel also has helped underserved populations, completing oncology related work in New Hampshire to help with funds for food and transportation.

Dr. Patel has contributed several publications to medical literature and has delivered national and local presentations on breast cancer treatment. She received the Lane Adams Quality of Life Award from the American Cancer Society in 2019, and has been featured in articles that appeared in U.S. News and World Report. She is also a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
