Dr. Shah's philosophy is rooted in patient education and communication. He is committed to providing an in-depth explanation of his patients' diagnoses along with a thorough discussion of treatment options. While he primarily utilizes non-surgical care, operative intervention may be recommended when non-surgical measures are unsuccessful.

In line with that, Dr. Shah offers minimally-invasive techniques which allow him to avoid excessive muscle injury, and allows for a quicker recovery. Dr. Shah also performs endoscopic spine surgery, which allows him to treat certain problems through an "ultra minimally invasive" approach, further optimizing the patient experience. His treatment philosophy consists of spinal fusion being a last resort for surgical options. In the rare case this is recommended, he has experience in treating these cases with one of several minimally invasive options.
