Sharon A Lawrence, MD

Sharon Lawrence, M.D., is a board eligible general surgeon who is an expert in general surgery and has a special interest in surgical oncology. Dr. Lawrence covers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient procedures and is prepared to fulfill surgical needs based on the patient.

Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Lawrence has held research roles at multiple institutions since 2005. Her most recent role was as a T32 Research Fellow at Duke University Medical Center, Department of Surgery. Dr. Lawrence has also filled the role as Chief Resident for Simulation Curriculum Development and General Surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in 2021. She has published and presented on subject matters regarding oncology and endocrinology. Her work also focuses on early cancer detection as well as certain risk factors among different patient populations. Dr. Lawrence is excited to be a part of the Hackensack Meridian JFK University Medical Center.
