Frequently Asked Questions
What should I expect on my first visit?
During our first visit, I'll ask about your pain, your medical history, what you've already tried, and how your symptoms affect your daily life. I'll perform a physical exam and review any imaging or records you bring. From there, I'll explain what I believe is causing your pain and walk you through the options available to you.
What conditions do you treat?
I commonly treat neck and back pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, arthritis-related joint pain, sacroiliac joint pain, nerve pain (neuropathy), post-surgical pain, complex regional pain syndrome, headaches related to the neck, and musculoskeletal injuries.
Will I need surgery?
Most of my patients do not. My focus is on non-surgical care, and many people improve with a combination of targeted procedures, physical therapy, and lifestyle changes. If surgery becomes the best option, I'll coordinate a referral to a trusted surgeon and help you make an informed decision.
Which insurance plans do you accept?
We work with a wide range of insurance providers. Because coverage can vary, we recommend contacting your insurance carrier directly to confirm whether our services are covered under your specific plan. You can also visit our website for a general list of accepted insurance plans.
Philosophy of Care
My philosophy centers on building a partnership with my patients. I believe in presenting all available treatment options and then working together to set realistic goals that ease pain, improve quality of life, and align with each patient's personal values. This approach grows out of my commitment to helping people heal.
I'm also dedicated to empowering my patients through education on pain prevention, with an emphasis on a balanced exercise routine, a healthy diet, and effective stress management. I am conversationally fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, which allows me to care for patients from a wide range of backgrounds and to build trust and comfort from the very first visit.
