Steven David Zarny, MD

Dr. Steven D. Zarny is a board-certified radiation oncologist with more than 25 years of experience treating patients with cancer using advanced radiation therapies. Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Zarny specializes in delivering precise, personalized treatment plans for a range of cancers including prostate, breast, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers.

He is part of the care team at Hackensack Meridian Health and the Regional Cancer Care Associates network, where he collaborates closely with surgical and medical oncologists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care. Dr. Zarny has a particular interest in technologies like intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), which allow for more targeted treatment and fewer side effects.

After earning his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Dr. Zarny completed his residency in radiation oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia.
