Stuart D Campbell, MD

Stuart Campbell, M.D., is a board-eligible thoracic surgeon with recognized experience in the treatment of pathologies of the lung, foregut, chest wall, trachea, diaphragm, and mediastinum. Dr. Campbell was one of two inaugural residents to graduate from the General Surgery training program at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was recognized for his leadership and research which were instrumental in the growth and development of the surgery program. Dr. Campbell is returning to the Jersey Shore after completing his Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship where he trained with leading international experts in minimally invasive robotic surgery. He presented research internationally and was awarded the AATS Foundation Thoracic Surgery Robotics Fellowship. 

His passion for treating oncologic diseases started in Canada during his Masters research, and has continued throughout his training to utilize minimally invasive robotic techniques to provide his patients with the highest quality care. Dr. Campbell is joining a team of highly skilled and experienced thoracic surgeons including Thomas Bauer, M.D., Ziad Hanhan, M.D., and Rachel NeMoyer, M.D. Our thoracic surgery team works closely with various  specialists such as medical oncologists, radiation oncologist, pulmonologists, and radiologists to develop comprehensive treatment plans for every patient. Dr. Campbell and the entire care team is dedicated to providing compassionate care, and strives to support patients and their families every step of the way.
