Talya K Fleming, MD

Dr. Fleming is the Medical Director of the Stroke Recovery Program, Post-COVID Rehabilitation Program, and Aftercare Program at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Interested in the role of exercise and disability, she presents her clinical research nationally and internationally on the topics of stroke rehabilitation, modified cardiac rehabilitation for stroke survivors, neurorehabilitation, post-acute transitions of care and healthcare delivery. Dr. Fleming integrates the latest methods in stroke rehabilitation and rehabilitation technology to help patients maximize recovery. She has been integral in the creation, design and implementation of the JFK Johnson Stroke Recovery Program and related Stroke-HEART Trials from their inception. Dr. Fleming earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed residency training at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. She is an Associate Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
