Philosophy of Care

Growing up in New Jersey, I was fortunate to witness firsthand the power of compassionate pediatric care. My mother, a pediatrician herself, instilled in me a deep respect for the unique needs of children and the vital role families play in their well-being. This upbringing shaped my own philosophy of care, which centers around the belief that healthy kids thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Amazing older office bit closer though

The provider spent a lot of our visit talking about other patients and I felt like his conversation about other patients was not relevant to my son and his experiences with other patients was not relative to my son and the shift in conversation to other patients felt inappropriate. Additionally, when there was evidence of my son's father interfering with medical treatment and I asked for the provider for some help in terms of acknowledging this officially or reporting it to the CPNP, I was told that he didn't know anything about that. That wasn't something he had experience with and instead of saying I would go and talk to somebody else and then I'll get back to you on that, I had to push him to please go find out about it. I'm still waiting for ?

We really like our pediatrician - he is wonderful, thorough, and very attentive during visits. I always feel confident in the care he provides. That said, the office process could use improvement. The check-in is usually quick, and the nurse takes height and weight without delay. But after my child was asked to undress for the exam (which is normal), we waited over an hour before the doctor came in. During that time, my child had to remain unclothed, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. The issue isn't the check-in itself but the long wait between vitals and actually seeing the doctor. If that could be improved, the experience would be excellent.
