How should I prepare before my appointment?
Before your visit, you may need to stop certain medications for a few days, so the testing works as expected. The office also asks that you avoid wearing perfume or cologne because some patients may react to strong scents. You can also view our medication guide for more information. If you’re not sure about any medication, you can call the office to check.
What should I expect during a visit?
During your visit, the team checks what may be causing your symptoms. You’ll have a full exam, talk through your health history and daily surroundings, and get a clear explanation of what might be triggering your allergies, asthma, or immune issues. Your doctor will also review a treatment plan that is made just for you.
What should I do with my asthma medications before the visit?
If you’re coming to the Paramus office for cough, asthma, or reactive airway symptoms, you should not take your bronchodilators on the day of your visit. If your asthma is severe and you rely on certain daily inhalers, you should continue taking those medicines as usual.
