Ahmad Fadi Hlayhel, MD

Ahmad Hlayhel, M.D., is a board-eligible general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, by leveraging advanced techniques and smaller incisions to reduce post-operative pain and support faster patient recovery.
Dr. Hlayhel completed his General Surgery residency at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, where he served as Chief Resident. He subsequently pursued fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, with a focus on foregut, hernia, and colorectal procedures. His clinical interests include the minimally invasive treatment of hernias, gallbladder disease, and reflux-related conditions, as well as the application of minimally invasive approaches to emergency general surgery.
He takes pride in providing compassionate, individualized care, working closely with patients through shared decision-making to achieve the best possible outcomes. Dr. Hlayhel has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, is a member of the American College of Surgeons, and is fluent in English and Arabic.
