Alicia Palmieri, D.O., is a dedicated physician specializing in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery. She is deeply committed to a holistic and evidence-based approach, providing compassionate care that improves the quality of life for women with complex pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Palmieri is dedicated to raising awareness and destigmatizing these common yet often overlooked conditions.
Dr. Palmieri completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where her leadership and clinical excellence were recognized by her appointment as Chief Resident.
A passionate researcher, Dr. Palmieri is dedicated to advancing the field of urogynecology. She is the recipient of the prestigious June Allyson Memorial Fund Research Award from the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) for her innovative research on new treatments for Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented her findings at major national conferences.
Throughout her training, Dr. Palmieri has been honored with multiple awards for her outstanding performance, including the Outstanding Minimally Invasive Surgery Resident Achievement Award and the AUGS Resident Excellence in Urogynecology Award. She is an active member of the American Urogynecologic Society and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists (ACOG).
