Dipakkumar P Pandya, MD

Dipakkumar P. Pandya, M.D., FAAN, is a board-certified neurologist who is part of the team at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center.
Dr. Pandya specializes in adult and pediatric epilepsy, as well as neurological conditions including headache, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory disorders, cerebrovascular disorders, and movement disorders. He also specializes in neurophysiological monitoring, electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoked potential testing.
After obtaining his medical degree at the prestigious B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India, Dr. Pandya moved to the United States to complete his residency in neurology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then continued his training with a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Dr. Pandya has conducted research and clinical trials in areas such as epilepsy, stroke, and anoxic brain injury. His areas of special interest include sleep disorders, critical care neurophysiology, neurocritical care, stroke, neurodegenerative disorders, coma recovery, migraines, and multiple sclerosis. Dr. Pandya is the Principal Investigator for epilepsy clinical trials at JFK University Medical Center.
Dr. Pandya is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition, he is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
In his free time, Dr. Pandya enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and going for walks.
