Huma Baqui, MD

Huma Baqui, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurologist specializing in a broad range of neurological conditions, with focused expertise in neuromuscular medicine, epilepsy, headache, and vascular neurology. Her fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology provides her with advanced skills in diagnosing and managing complex neurological disorders.

Fluent in both English and Urdu, Dr. Baqui has expertise in performing lumbar punctures, EMGs (electromyography), and interpreting EEGs (electroencephalograms) and IOMs (interoperative monitoring). She is also proficient in conducting nerve conduction studies and administering Botox injections with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.

Dr. Baqui earned her medical degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University-Shreveport, followed by a residency in Neurology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She further advanced her training with a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.

She is an advocate of education, teaching and mentoring internal medicine, neurology, and psychiatry residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Baqui was recognized as a NJ Top Doctor by Castle Connolly.
