James Heller, M.D., is a board-certified thoracic surgeon who has been serving the local community of central New Jersey for over 20 years, and has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group family. Dr. Heller uses a patient-first philosophy and makes it apriority to ensure open communication with patients and families.

Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Medical Group, Dr. Heller was a private practice physician in Edison, NJ and he performed procedures out of JFK University Medical Center and Raritan Bay Medical Center. He was also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. Dr. Heller is currently a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

I would like to say that the visit to Dr. James Heller was very good. He was very rigid with everything he said and explained everything properly. I really appreciate him and I think he's a wonderful, wonderful doctor. He doesn't worry about his time to spend with a patient and that's really important. He took his time and explained everything and he recommended me to another specialist because he's retiring in another couple months, I guess. He wanted me to get good care and he explained everything. I appreciate him and I think I love him because he's such a nice caring doctor. I don't think I love him. I love him at the first time I met him because he's just a natural caring love.

I didn't have to see the doctor because everything is okay with me. I saw him and he explained the situation to me. Thank you.

Dr. Heller has preformed surgery for me in the past. I was very pleased with my outcome. I would highly recommend him to family or friends.

Provider refused to talk about my issue and claimed misunderstanding and he no longer deals with similar issue inspire of scheduled appointment.
