Karim ElSahwi, MD
HMH - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Forked River
Dr. Karim ElSahwi is a board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist at Hackensack Meridian Health – Southern Region and an Associate Professor at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. He specializes in radical cytoreductive surgery for advanced gynecologic malignancies, as well as robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery for gynecologic cancers and complex benign gynecologic conditions. In addition to his board certifications in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. ElSahwi holds a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Focused Practice Designation from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is also a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. ElSahwi has received multiple national awards for excellence in medical education from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). His research focuses on gynecologic surgical oncology, medical education, and simulation-based training. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, surgical videos, and abstract presentations at both national and international scientific meetings.
Dr. ElSahwi is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He is an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), and the Association for Surgical Education (ASE).
Residing with his family at the Jersey Shore, Dr. ElSahwi enjoys reading, jogging, boating, watersports, and, above all, parenting.
