Mariela Mitre, MD

Mariela Mitre, M.D., PhD, is a board certified dermatologist who has recently joined Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. She completed her dermatology residency at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Dermatology. Her residency training also included practicing at NYC Health and Hospitals Lincoln Medical Center in Bronx, NY, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY.

During her residency training, Dr. Mitre received a 2021 Melanoma Research Alliance Dermatology Fellows Award and led a project on evaluating acral pigmented lesions in black patients with artificial intelligence algorithms. She also served as the dermatology resident representative at the Graduate Medical Education Committee and as a mentor for medical students interested in dermatology. She is an active member of the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Mitre speaks Albanian, Spanish, and Italian, so she will serve as a great resource for diverse populations.
