He has a special interest in state-of-the-art diagnostics and treatments, utilizing a musculoskeletal ultrasound for both diagnostics and guided procedures. He is also skilled in the use of orthobiologics to enhance the natural healing of fractures, muscles, tendons, and ligaments, and performs advanced techniques like ultrasound-guided percutaneous tenotomy.


 


Dr. Harrington’s path to sports medicine began by earning a degree in Athletic Training from Kean University while earning experience as a high school and collegiate Athletic Trainer. He then went to A.T. Still – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, and during his time there, was honored with the role of Chief Resident. Finally, he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing training, Dr. Harrington spent three years as an assistant team physician for the Cleveland Browns (NFL). 


 


Today, he practices full time at Ocean Orthopedic Associates, while being the head team physician for Kean University Athletics and the MLS Venue Medical Director of Sports Illustrated Stadium with the New York Red Bulls.
