Karl Blum, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with more than 25 years of experience providing expert care in Ocean County. He is fellowship trained in sports medicine, and has a passion for sports and comprehensive understanding of musculoskeletal/joint health. 

He utilizes the latest advancements in diagnosis and treatment, and when operative care is needed, he employs advanced surgical techniques designed to optimize outcomes, reduce recovery time, and facilitate a complete rehabilitation.

Dr. Blum earned his medical degree at UMDNJ- Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, and went on to successfully complete an internship and rigorous orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Brooklyn. Then he pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center. 

Beyond his surgical expertise, Dr. Blum is known for his unwavering dedication to his patients. Outside of his practice, he enjoys an active lifestyle that includes traveling, fitness, and golfing, and he cherishes time spent with his family.
