Maya Madhavan, MD

Maya Madhavan, M.D., is a fellowship trained, board-certified neurologist with a special focus in neuroimmunology and multiple sclerosis who has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. As a hospital based location, Dr. Madhavan has seamless access to the most advanced treatment options as well as support services for patients and their families.

Currently, Dr. Madhavan holds the role of Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Madhavan served as an Instructor for Neurology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, where she also completed her Neuroimmunology Fellowship. She has many research and academic based publications and poster presentations which range throughout the field of neuroimmunology. Dr. Madhavan also has experience as a sub-investigator of multiple clinical trials as part of her fellowship training, as well as experience in basic science research with groups such as the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and Center for Neuroscience where she investigated glioblastoma therapies. She is an active member of professional organizations such as American Academy of Neurology.
