Nikolai Yordanov Markov, DO

Nikolai Y. Markov, D.O., is a fellowship trained, board certified general surgeon who has been affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health for a number of years and recently joined Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. Dr. Markov has over 20 years of experience practicing medicine and provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient procedures. He makes it a priority to foster comfort and confidence in his patients by helping them understand their diagnosis and the range of available treatment options.

Dr. Markov's clinical areas of interest include abdominal and digestive issues. He has presented on various topics including rectal cancer, gastric cancer, Gastroesophageal reflux, Crohn's disease, hernias, and other disorders related to gastro and abdominal matters. Additionally, he is fluent in several languages including French, Bulgarian and Russian.
