Rashi Kochhar, MD

Rashi Kochhar, M.D., is triple board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology, and Sleep Medicine. She completed her Medical School in India and moved to the United States to pursue her interest in Pediatrics. Dr. Kochhar completed her Pediatric training from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, at Elmhurst Hospital Center in 2015, and worked at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for 3 years as a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Attending Physician, before pursuing her Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship from Weill Cornell Medicine. She further specialized in Sleep Medicine by training at the Yale School of Medicine.

Dr. Kochhar is specialized to take care of children with various Pulmonary disorders, including Asthma, Chronic cough, Chronic Lung Disease, ILD, Cystic Fibrosis, PCD, Bronchiectasis, Recurrent Pneumonias, Exercise induced Asthma, among others, as well as providing care for pediatric patients with Sleep disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs/Restless Sleep, Hypoventilation, Insomnia, Hypersomnia, and Narcolepsy.

From a young age, Dr. Kochhar, who grew up in a family of doctors, always admired the medical profession and the selfless care it offers to those in need, particularly sick children. Dr. Kochhar is passionate about managing asthma, preventing exacerbations, and improving the quality of life of children with various other respiratory disorders. Additionally, she emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis of sleep-related breathing disorders in childhood to prevent adverse cardiovascular and neurocognitive consequences. She highlights the significance of restful sleep for individuals of all ages.
