Stephanie Ann Sansone, MD

Stephanie A. Sansone, M.D., is a fellowship-trained obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She provides evidence-based, patient-centered care for women with pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and overactive bladder. She also treats complications related to pelvic mesh and provides care for patients who may benefit from pelvic floor reconstruction.

Dr. Sansone offers both nonsurgical and minimally invasive treatment options, including in-office procedures and robotic-assisted, abdominal and vaginal reconstructive surgery. Dr. Sansone is proud to practice in New Jersey, where she grew up, and is passionate about improving the quality of life of patients in her local community. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she developed an interest in urogynecology and the impact pelvic floor care can have on patients’ quality of life.

During her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell, Dr. Sansone received the Fellow’s Teaching & Mentorship Award and Best Fellow Research Award. She has presented her research at national meetings and published articles and book chapters on topics related to urogynecology and pelvic floor disorders.

Dr. Sansone is an affiliated member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
