YouRong “Sophie” Su, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship trained open cerebrovascular/endovascular neurosurgeon at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Dr. Su's academic journey began at Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Stanford University School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Su completed a rigorous neurosurgery residency at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where she also served as Chief Resident.

She completed an Endovascular and Open Cerebrovascular Fellowship at the Baptist Neurological Institute in Jacksonville, Florida, a Microsurgery Clinical Fellowship at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand, and a research fellowship studying the mechanism of cerebral cavernous malformations to identify new treatments.
